Every season, we feature someone in our community that is looking to amplify their stories through our online shop.
The Recess team selects a community member that is curious about selling their artwork to a greater audience. We help them get ready to sell by helping them in all aspects of commerce, including pricing, producing marketing material, and fulfillment*.
We help members get their products ready to sell on ecommerce platform Shopify. We chat about the process of selling their items, from writing the best description, pricing their product, to taking product photos. Once an order comes through, we show them how to fulfill orders and what to expect when it comes to shipping. Recess will be responsible for keeping inventory at the studio, and will also be responsible for fulfilling orders. At the end of every month, if their products have been sold, we will e-transfer members the full amount of what was sold.
We like to give members the opportunity to tell their story. This is formatted through a Q&A with our co-founder, Shanik, and a photoshoot of the product and person at the studio. While we hope that members come with an open mind to share themselves and their story with others, members can also opt out of the photoshoot and focus on product photos instead.
Through our social network, the member and product will be announced and items will be made available until sold out.
